The Big Loop, Day 30 Bonus: Wolves! (7images)

This was a wildlife day! After visiting the Bird Sanctuary, we visited the Endangered Wolf Center. Founded in 1971 by zoologist and Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom host Marlin Perkins and his wife, the  Center continues to "lead the pack" with pioneering science, cross-fostering, reintroduction and inspiring educational programs. And... it's fun to visit!

The center currently has about 60 wolves. But that should change soon, after breeding season. Each of the endangered species there; the Mexican wolves, red wolves, maned wolves, swift foxes, and African painted dogs, all play a positive, vital role to ecosystems.

Photography was a challenge because we had to shoot through two fences. Or through a frosted window. So grabbing a sharp focus was sometimes difficult in the moment. But I did manage to get a few images for you to enjoy.
