The Big Loop, Day 38: Lincoln's Birthplace (10 images)

A few hours south of Louisville, KY, is the Abraham Lincoln Birthplace National Historic Park. So, yes, I stopped in to learn more about that amazing man's first home.

The original cabin is gone, replaced by a thoughtful replica, protected by a stone memorial. And the Lincoln family didn't stay there long - something about a land title dispute. But it was still very informative. And Lincoln WAS born there. So I strolled, visited and learned more about the family. It's a beautiful place.
