Alpine Details (16 images)

This diverse group of images includes landscapes, flowers, a bee, squirrels, a marmot, a robin, and my coworker friends Matus, Veronica and Juan.

At about 6700 feet, Logan Pass straddles the continental divide. So much had changed since my hike to the Hidden Lake Overlook just two weeks ago. The slushy snow that had covered so much of the trail before was now completely gone. And the wildflowers were much more abundant. New colors had taken over the "canvas" from the earlier spring varieties. It's a short season up there - snow and cold weather will return in a month or two.
