One way to mark the seasons is by what's going on with bird migrations. One great place to mark that is at the Bear River Wildfowl Management Area.

Big formations of flying pelicans were a sure sign their migration has begun. Watching those and other seasonal birds yesterday was a real treat. Most of them were too far away for clear photos, but I got a few.
