A Tepee Goes Up (23 images)

The Koa where I am working this summer acquired two (canvas) tepees some years ago. But they sat in storage since then... until a few days ago. I happened to be around a recently to observe (and document) several staff members raising one tepee. It is an impressive, educational process to watch!

This one will get tested against the strong, gusty winds here. If it stays sound, maybe it will become available for glamping in the future. I hope so! Time will tell.
