Today I drove up to the wide open fields north and west of Cedar City looking for migrating bald eagles. Well, I found several eagles and plenty other birds of prey. It is also a very good valley for hawk watching. I was fortunate to see a variety of beautiful raptor species.

I know that it is too early to be expecting spring - but seeing these raptors is a sure sign that the days are getting longer. I do love raptors - it was a banner day! ID's are with each image.
