Reconnecting (8 images)

Yesterday, I went into St. George to have dinner at George's Corner Restaurant and listen to Nick Adams, an old friend, perform. His role was "background music during dinner", so it was a mellow performance. Rather than being center stage, he was tucked back into a dimly lit corner of the restaurant.

I have always known Nick to be an outstanding photographer - I've seen a lot of his images over the years. But he is also a musician. It's just that I have never had the opportunity to listen to him sing and play the guitar... until last evening.

It turns out (no surprise) that he is very skilled at that art form as well. Over three hours, he performed his repertoire of gentle, soulful songs. Once he finished, we were able to spend a little time catching up. Nick is very intelligent, very deep, very artistic. It is always a pleasure to reconnect with him
