Pole Bending & Barrel Racing (13 images)

On Monday, I went to another UBRA event. This time it was Pole Bending and Barrel Racing. Pole Bending is basically a zig-zag obstacle course, testing the horse's agility and speed. Also the rider's conditioning, athleticism, and ability to get the most out of the horse. It's a straightforward, exciting, timed event. Most of the competitors are girls/women, but some boys/men do compete also.
