Birds, Birds, Birds!
If you have followed my blog, you know I love birds. This post includes bird photos from two different outings. For me, the late summer/fall season is perfect for birdwatching. It is calm, quiet, the temperatures are cool, no bugs, and there are still plenty of active birds.

I especially like the series of pelicans taking flight. It just seems like a lot of effort for them to get airborne. They are not especially graceful... until they are at soaring elevation. Look closely at their underbellies - You can see light patterns reflecting up from the water below.
